Angel #3.15: Loyalty

Hm this episode started all mixed up and lame, but ended pretty strong. Basically I think season 3 isn’t very good, because it seems to be a bunch of stories floating around, which just come up whenever they feel like it (like Holtz, Wolfram & Hart, the love stories, etc.). The good stuff in this episode was basically just Wesley. Since Angel is acting like a goofy dad (and for some reason, they kept showing him drinking blood from a glass… why?! did they feel we needed a reminder he is a vampire or something?), Cordelia and Groosallug are gone on vacation (more on that lameness when they return), Fred and Gunn are kissing and getting caught by bad guys, this basically means that Wesley is the star of the show. And I think he’s good at that; he is acting sort of like classic Angel, brooding and introverted and focused on the mission and all. But I like it.

Wesley also went to a prophet demon, which required him casting a spell at a statue, which turned out to be a hamburger at a drive-thru. The hamburger got all giant and gave him advice. I can’t help but think this show would be all that more incredibly awesome if the Giant Advice-Giving Hamburger was a regular character! Especially if it only talked to Wesley.
