This was a fun episode. Like the title implies, there was a lot of switcheroos in the story. For instance, Cordelia was initially shown as a slave in Pylea. Then they make her their princess! She likes this, of course. Then she realizes it’s to mate with some Grussallugg thing, and she wants to leave. Then she sees the Grussallugg (I made up that spelling myself) and he’s a hot studly human, so she wants to stay. Then she discovers that being Princess is just a tool and has to do what she’s told, not an actual position of power. Lots of back and forth!

Same with Angel… he’s a vampire, but he’s a good guy. And then in Pylea, turns out, he can actually go into the sun and see his reflection again (since it’s another dimension). So he loves it there! And turns out the Pyleans worship him as a brave warrior, so he’s a big hero and celebrated. But then they want him to kill Fred (same crazy girl who talked to Cordelia) and he tries to escape. Then he tries to turn into a vampire and actually turns into some weird crazy rabid green demon instead. And when he sees that in his reflection, he’s traumatized. Show ended with him bummed out, and in Fred’s cave.

Really good episode, and one more to see how they get back to LA…
