So Cordelia got sucked into Pylea, some other dimension, which also happens to be where Lorne the Karoake Demon came from (and he hates it there). Angel is all determined to save Cordelia so they all find their way into Pylea to save her. On Pylea, which oddly looks like an old wild west village or something, she’s been enslaved because they think humans are like cows. She is shown shovelling demon poop, when another human finds her and starts to talk to her. When Cordelia has a vision, the Pyleans think she’s cursed… but then in a twist, we find out she’s been made their princess! This episode had a lot of little twists like that in the storytelling, which made it consistently funny and quite interesting. One of the other twists is that Angel and Wesley lost the portal book, which was how they thought they’d make it back to Earth.

Wiki says that this post-Darla arc in season 2 was because the actress who plays Darla left the show. Dang! What. Couldn’t they have kept Drusilla at least? This is an okay story though, I’m not complaining, I just noticed a big dropoff in excitement since the Darla arc ended.

Also Jin from Lost showed up as a lawyer from Wolfram & Hart! Third Lost actor so far on Angel… Bernard was a regular, and Sawyer was killed in the first episode…
