“Rm w/a Vu” seems another minor episode, a fairly normal but creepy ghost story. Cordelia finds a new apartment, and it’s haunted by a prior inhabitant. The story of that was twisty and shocking enough, I didn’t see it coming. What I noticed mainly about this episode–which did not have Angel saving a girl, but helping Doyle and then Cordelia–is that there aren’t very many characters on this show (yet, I know). It is suffering for that, imo. Other Whedon shows have all been jammed with characters and that’s part of the fun. This one helped flesh out Cordelia a little, though she didn’t need it because we know her from Buffy, and hinted a bit more at Doyle’s backstory.
