Lost #2.17: Lockdown
Even though I thought by itself this episode was kinda lame, it does feel like a lot of what happened could be quite significant in the story. (But I know, it’s Lost, it probably isn’t significant at all.)
It began with Locke being Locked into The Hatch, when giant steel walls randomly came down. He gets Balloonist to help try to pry them up, but then it crashes on his leg, locking him further. There was some needless drama, like Balloonist falling and blacking out while running to enter the code in the computer. In the end, he made it, pushed the code, and the walls went up.
Stuff I think might be significant: Balloonist didn’t run away after entering the code and helping Locke, thus making a bit of a connection with Locke. Sayid and Anna came back, and had discovered the balloon–but the body in the grave was not Balloonist’s wife, but a man named Henry Gale (who Balloonist was claiming to be). He’s a liar! Locke, while his leg was pinned, saw a map in black light on the back of the steel walls!
There was also some bits of things about the power struggle between Jack and Locke, and Jack and Sawyer, which I really enjoy. Jack came out on top in both of those this time.
