Angel #3.17: Forgiving
“Forgiving” wasn’t entirely about the lack of forgiveness! I didn’t mention, but last episode, after Wesley took Connor, Wesley’s throat was cut, and Connor was then taken from him. This is how Holtz ended up taking Connor to the other dimension. So yea, just after I was saying how the show was all about Wesley and how he was the star… bam, he gets his throat slit. This episode was about Angel trying to take out revenge on whoever took Connor (first, Sarjaan). Also Gunn and Fred find out why Wesley took Connor (the prophecy, which wasn’t real, Sarjaan wrote it so Connor would be taken).
When Angel finds out Wesley is alive but in a hospital bed, he goes there and in one of the craziest scenes of the show–tries to kill Wesley. Somehow some hospital nurses restrain him (really?), so he doesn’t but he blames Wesley for Connor–even though they know the reason Wesley did it (the prophecy). Angel doesn’t care, he is not going to forgive Wesley. I find this turn of events to be pretty interesting and have some hope for the remainder of the season…
