After using the 2nd episode to go into Cordelia’s visions, this one started out by exploring Fred slightly. They were all investigating a murder, and it turns out that it was Gunn’s old gang doing the killings. This turned into a thing about Gunn, and how he’s working with a vampire and all that. However, the emotion of the story was about Fred. Angel asked Cordelia to take Fred out, which was odd because in the 2nd episode not only did Fred go to Cordelia’s apartment, but also that Cordelia was kind of mean/unwelcoming to her. But they do, they go to the karaoke bar, and then Gunn’s old gang comes in and holds it up and it’s all dramatic and violent. Will this mess up Fred more? Doubt it, they seem to be taking their time in getting her acclimated.
