Lost #1.16: Outlaws
Sawyer is upset and all raging because a boar keeps attacking him and stealing his stuff. He tries to find it. He admits to killing a man to Kate. Then the flashback shows that the reason he is in Australia is to find a man who had something to do with the death of his parents (I forget what), and kill him. Since he already admits to Kate he has killed a man, it is no surprise that he finds the man and kills him. The one surprise is that coincidentally Jack’s father gives Sawyer advice in an Australian pub which leads him to going through with the killing.
None of these things had anything to do with an over-arching story or anything, just little bits of serendipity.
I am getting a little annoyed with this show.
