This was an exciting episode, in which the people coming to get Ben finally get there (but don’t get him). Bloody shootout ends with Ben’s daughter being shot, and him being sad about it–I guess that is his human weakness? His daughter? Wiki notes someone saying that the actor who plays Ben is amazing at humanizing a supervillian. I don’t know if I agree; I mean, he is amazing, but I don’t agree he’s been humanized. He feels and acts pure evil to me. They’re starting to show that he is only acting to protect The Island, and his daughter, so I guess that will humanize him some. Also it turns out, he controls, or at least summons, Smoke Monster.

FutureBen is shown too. He leaves The Island, in order to hunt down Penelope and kill her. That’s his plan anyway, and they show him going to Whitmore and telling him he’ll kill Penelope as revenge for him killing Alex. Ben also gets FutureSayid to help him. I’m starting not to care much about Future people; I find it much more interesting what is happening on The Island.
