This overly-dramatically-titled episode is about Scully’s ex-partner/ex-boyfriend who gets shot in a bank robbery. The bank robber also gets shot, and they both die. But the robber comes back to life in Scully’s ex’s body. That’s about it. The best part of the episode was that it was it was much more focused on investigating–and not the paranormal stuff: actual cool FBI investigating. Mulder was deconstructing audio recordings for clues with some nerdy guy and fancy-looking equipment. The agents went canvassing in a neighborhood to find the suspect. There was a stakeout and the agents busted down a door. That made this episode pretty fun to watch.

But I am getting anxious for some of the alien mythology to get kicked off in greater depth. My understanding is that season 1 didn’t have a lot though–the crew was never sure if the show would be cancelled or what, so they just went with these murder mystery episodes.
