I was cramming this disc of X-Files, but will probably take a break now from it for a week or two or so.

“Ice” was a good one. Mulder and Scully go out to Palin Country to look into a scientist’s death. They take a team of 3 other scientists with them. The 5 of them are all trapped, and somewhat trying to figure out what is infecting things and turning them violent. This turns them all paranoid, and snippy, and they go off on each other in different ways (Scully even pulls a gun on Mulder!). It was very much a psychological thriller, as opposed to the usual paranormal investigation. I think it was a nice change of pace.

The change of pace did not extend to the ending, where despite the government burning down the lab, Mulder realizes the alien worm would likely never be destroyed. It still survives!
