Lost #3.1: Tale Of Two Cities

Moving on to season 3!

This one starts simply, showing where Kate, Sawyer, and Jack have ended up after being taken prisoner by The Others. Kate ended up in what appeared to be a locker room, made to put on a dress, and then given breakfast on the beach by Ben/Henry Gale/Balloonist. He tells her the next two weeks will be miserable. Sawyer’s in a zoo cage, where like an animal he figures out a series of things to make food come out of a slot. Kate shows up at the end in a cage opposite, looking kinda beat up, her handcuffs seem to have torn her wrist–but they didn’t say how or what happened. Jack’s in a warehouse-type dungeon, where some pretty lady keeps talking to him and knows everything about him. Who are these people? How do they know everything? Why are they living in a suburb on a side of a deserted mystical jungle island? What’d they do with Kate? I’m guessing some sort of experiments are being undertaken, but why I don’t know.

No other characters were in this. Jack’s flashback showed him turning into an obssessive heartbroken man, which was a bit of a surprise, but in the end a good depth for his character. This whole show seemed like a dream, it was such a shock to not really be in the jungle, and Jack, Kate and Sawyer weren’t really allowed to be themselves since they were prisoners.
