Birthday? Wasn’t a baby just born, whose birthday is it now? Turns out it is Cordelia’s, and finally they explain away her painful painful visions. Cordelia passes out from a vision, but is astral projected out of her body. She then is offered the chance to never meet Angel in LA which she takes because she ends up a big star. In this alternate path, she still ends up finding Angel, but instead he’s gone crazy because he’s the one who got the visions after Doyle. Cordelia doesn’t like this, so goes back to having visions… but to do it, she’s made part demon so they’re no longer painful. Not that I liked the idea of Cordelia’s head eventually exploding, but the painfulness of the visions made things… not so perfect.

Anyway this episode was nice, for what I said, it returned back to some of the other characters and stories. There was even a little hint again at Gunn and Fred flirting. These “side” stories had been on hold for a number of episodes. I kind of wish they entwined all the stories better, instead of ignoring some for awhile.
