Ah nuts, I went anxiously to the next episode to find out why the Window In The Ground was glowing, and it did not come up in this episode!

Instead, this was basically an ER episode, as Jack tried to save Boone (Jack fixed Boone’s collapsed lung, set his fractured leg, implemented a blood transfusion WITH JACK’S OWN BLOOD, and then set-up a chopping block to amputate Boone’s leg). In the end, Boone died, but not before he told Jack about the secret Window In The Ground. Shannon missed the whole thing because she was on a date with Sayid.

On a happier note, Claire had her baby. Kate, who is always squeamish when Jack goes into Doctor mode, had to deliver the baby. The show ended with the whole island gathering around to see the newborn baby, aww. I find it weird when they show all the “extra” crashed passengers in the crowd like that. How come we don’t get to know their crazy background stories too? They must have them if they were on the plane too, right?
