I called it! Last time I was wondering what they did to Angel, as he’s kind of in this dark place, but he’s not Angelus, he still has his soul. That’s what this episode was about, his “redefinition.” Angel doesn’t speak in this episode, we only hear his inner monologue. He starts out by thinking that he needs more training to fight Darla & Dru. 10 minutes later, he’s done with the training (lame), and goes out to find them. Darla & Dru had recruited a bunch of evil soldier demons to wreak havoc, and invited them to some warehouse. Angel goes to the warehouse and kills them all (which interestingly was not shown). THey do show Darla & Dru showing up at the warehouse, and Angel is there… he flicks a cigarette on to some oil on the ground which sets Darla & Dru on fire. Angel leaves. Not sure what he’s doing… just torturing them? Why not kill them? Does he still hope to save Darla? This is where Darla noted what I said… it’s not Angelus, but it’s not Angel either. Interesting, I have no idea where they’re going with that.
