Angel #2.1: Judgment

Whoever designed the Angel DVD’s called this episode “Judgement” which is spelled wrong, and Wiki uses the correct spelling as the name. That’s about all of the excitement in this episode. Angel kills some demon, who was apparently a good guy and protecting some pregnant lady (badly, I guess). So Angel has to protect her. Turns out her unborn daughter was up for some sort of judgment, which in demon law, meant a medieval demon court appearing out of nowhere and a joust on horseback occurs, winner lives, loser dies. This horse jouse happened (very oddly) in the middle of the streets of downtown LA among the parked cars, and Angel won of course. The story was lame. There were little hints at Darla’s resurrection at the law firm (but no action there, she just talked to the lawyers), and then the show ended with Angel talking to Faith, who is in prison, serving her time, longing for redemption.
