Finally! An overall story arc may be in place for the show! The scroll that Wesley was translating ended up serving many purposes. As a cliffhanger, it was used by Wolfram & Hart to raise a demon… which was cliffhanger revealed to be Darla! Cool! But also the text on the scroll was translated by Wesley to learn that Angel will become human once all his duties are fulfilled. This gives Angel some purpose, which I think was needed. Even if that is way way off and never happens in the show. But I assume now this is how the series will end? Don’t tell me if so.
