Twin Peaks #1.8: The Last Evening

All the wondering when things would happen–no longer. Things happened here. I realized afterwards, it is because season one is over! I had no idea, thought there were a few more coming. Nope, it’s a cliffhanger!

As a season ender, I thought it was really good. A lot of those things that happened will definitely change the story, but only the viewers yet know what happened. The police are about to find out what happened to their suspects. Audrey and her father are about to run into each other. We know the situation, but they don’t yet–but they’re all about to. That’s what makes the story linger until season 2 starts.

As for theories, I’m still not sure I have any. :/ Looking at the episode list, I realized that the first 3 episodes were all written by David Lynch. He hasn’t written any other episodes since. I liked those 3 episodes by far the best too. Those were really quirky and fun and really set up the town as a place stuck in time. But I don’t think they’ve maintained that. Where’s the weird midget dreams? Or more character quirks? Do more show up in season 2? I hope so.

    Nope. :(
Actually, David Lynch doesn’t direct another episode until the finale. From what I read, there was a serious dip in morale on the set because the cast felt that he “abandoned” them. This doesn’t mean that the rest of the episodes are bad – they’re still amazing, but they’re not as good as the first few. Diane Keaton directs “Slaves and Masters” and does a pretty good job. Look forward to that one and look forward to a mind blowing final episode.

Yea, sort of… just until the shows on at the moment finish their seasons. I’ll finish TP in the summer.
