Lost #3.22-3.23: Through The Looking Glass Pt. 1 & 2

That was about the greatest possible season ending ever.

Charlie has swim down to the Underwater Hatch, to turn of the radio jammer, and does so. He dies when Mikhail The Cyclops comes back to life for the 2nd time and sets off a grenade. Right before this happened, Charlie reached Penny on a radio, but Desmond didn’t get a chance to talk to her.

So now Jack’s group can use Naomi’s phone to get rescue. Ben shows up and tries to stop them. Locke then shows up and tries to stop them. But Jack prevails! Contact made, rescue coming.

But all that is background, apparently. As the scenes of Jack where he is a suicidal mess are not in the past, but in the future! Is this how the rest of the series is? Sweet, that’s amazing if so. In the final scene calls Kate, and tells her they need to get back to The Island. They made a mistake leaving. Were Ben and Locke right about this? Why was it a mistake to leave The Island? Why did Ben and Locke want to stop them? What does Future Jack learn, and that Future Kate doesn’t seem to care about?
